Core Values That Guide Us

These core values guide our approach to therapy and shape every interaction with our clients.

Attachment-based

Helping clients understand how early relationships shape adult relational patterns.

Client-Centered

Rooted in empathy, client-led conversations, and empathy.

Strength-based

Focuses on identifying and utilizing strengths that already exist to handle challenges, and feel more confident and empowered in everyday life.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy

Regular, and evidence-based adapted versions for those with support needs – focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors.

Trauma-Informed

Creates a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space through building trust, providing choice, collaboration, and empowerment. Focuses on what happened to a person, not what you (or others) may think is wrong with them.

Biopsychosocial

Explores the entire person, not just their symptoms. It helps people by understanding how their body (bio), mind (psycho), and life experiences or relationships (social) all work together to affect well-being.

Motivational Interviewing

Gentle and respectful approach that supports a person to find their own motivation to change – without pressure, judgement, or being told what to do.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Helps people learn how to manage big emotions, handle stress in healthy ways, communicate better, and stay grounded during tough moments. Most commonly used to treat people who struggle with poor coping choices such as self-harming.
